Spiritual growth is a process. To get, and to keep, a good handle on the adventure, we need to remember where we have come from, remain aware of where we are now, and rehearse what we need to be and where we are going. The questions we ask along the path enable us to recognize and affirm growth when it happens, and cautions us to anticipate the dangers and pitfalls along the journey ahead.

"What will it look like?” and “How will we recognize it?” are common, and necessary, questions that need to be addressed.

There are 7 major growth milestones in the life of the believer, as well as the church, that should be recognizable, desireable, and attainable.

1. The Salvation Experience - Conversion
2. The Baptism(s) Experience - Discipleship
3. The Born Again Experience - Fruit from the New Life
4. The Holy Spirit Experience - Empowerment for witness and ministry
5. The Warfare/Ministry/Praise Experience - Engagement in Life/Ministry here and abroad
6. The Union/Dominion Experience - Personal and Corporate Victory in our life/Ministry engagement
7. The Rest Experience - Maturity and enjoymeny of the Fruits of God's/Our labor
