Matt 5:13-16
"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

Acts 1:6-8
So when they met together, they asked him, "Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?" He said to them: "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

If the world does not see what we are, they will only see what we are not. Power to become a witness comes from God. When he does not empower us, it is all futile. When he does empower us, the miraculous, impossible, and wonderful happens. Life comes from death, light comes from darkness, and love comes from hate.

The dynamics of our relationship with the Lord Jesus is to extend beyond our own borders... while not ignoring our own. We communicate what we experience, not hearsay. That is where the power of God changes lives.
